About
Regular Trading Hours is a single-page reference for the world's trading day. It exists because every quotes site shows you a price, but almost none of them clearly answer the simpler question: is this market actually open right now, and if not, when will it be?
Principles
- No ads. Nothing on the page tries to sell you anything.
- No accounts. No signup, no email collection, no logins.
- No tracking. No analytics, no third-party scripts, no fingerprinting.
- No JavaScript heavy lifting. The page renders fast on a five-year-old phone over a weak connection.
- One purpose. Trading hours and live status. That's it.
How the times work
Each market's hours are stored in its own local time and IANA timezone. The browser uses Intl.DateTimeFormat to convert to the right local clock, which means daylight-saving transitions are handled automatically - no manual updates twice a year.
Holidays
The 2026 holiday calendar is baked into the page. It covers approximately ten to twenty full-day closures for the major exchanges. Half-days (early closes) are not flagged - those markets show as fully open, which is the more conservative default.
Watchlist
Stars are stored in your browser's localStorage. Nothing leaves your device. Clearing browser data will reset the watchlist.
Errors
If you spot a wrong opening time, a missing holiday or a market we should add, please get in touch through GitHub or the email address on the donate page.
