Unlike a stock exchange, Kraken never closes. The order book runs continuously through nights, weekends and holidays, with maintenance windows handled by individual venues rather than fixed bell times.

Liquidity rises and falls with the global stock and FX sessions, peaking when London and New York are both at their desks. There is no opening auction, no closing print, no weekend.
