Europe
London, Frankfurt, Paris and the rest of the European trading bloc.
European exchanges open in a narrow window - most at 08:00 or 09:00 local - and run continuously through to 16:30 or 17:30. The two hours after New York takes over are the deepest of the European day; volume often doubles when both regions are simultaneously open.
The UK, Ireland and Portugal are on a different clock from continental Europe; the rest of the bloc moves together through CET/CEST.
